202. A PLACE CALLED HOME

Where I spend a lot of time...
This is probably the room I spend most of my time at. From having breakfast and dinner (lazy in the couch), watching TV and relaxing after work with a blanket: it all happens in here. And before the renovations it was one of the most 'ugly' spaces in the house. Now it's bright, minimalistic (like: hmm, what else?) and defenitely one of my favorite places to be in the house: meet the living room.

I had a lot of difficulties with deciding which kind of floor I wanted. The white VOGUE floor in my dressing room was already chosen before even starting the room, but this one took quite a while.  At the end I chose a Laminated floor from Quickstep via Thiry Paints - Largo is the name of it - with a grey tone. Still very light to give the space an optical larger look, yet still very clean and minimal even though it has a lot of characterestic for the room: just how I love it.

About the decoration: the eyecatching color is yellow. And you'll see it passing by a few more times while uploading the interior posts. With the black and white touches like the stripes, geometric and animal prints,... the room gets more character and I've added a personal touch with my 'Cartoon' faces in the photo frames. Next to that I've added a space for my magazines, made it cosy with cushions, a blanket and candles. Now I only need a hot chocolate and I'm settled down.
