What is my job, what do I do?
That I'm writing and blogging on this website after my work hours is pretty clear I guess. The blog name
'The AFTER WORK blog' just spreaks for itself and the fact that most of us, as a part time blogger, have a job beside it, makes it a very realistic situation. I received a lot of positive reactions about this new blog concept and the fact that it's more personal and lifestyle related. The next step is sharing with you what my job actually is. What I do beside blogging and writing posts.

Four years ago, in October 2010, I started as a working student at Inditex, Zara. The well known fashion brand was on the top of my list when it came to searching for a job. I started high school that year in September (tried to became a Medical Assistant) but didn't feel interested anymore and I just wanted to join the fashion world, business.

After a couple of months I became Visual Merchandiser at the Kids section in the store I worked at.
Later I started a program to become Junior Manager and 2years later I'm here. In my new function, being Area Merchandiser for the Women section in Belgium (for almost one year in December) and I'm still loving it every day. Creating looks, being creative in making walls and showing the new trends is what I love to do. As a blogger I was already known with all the fashion news, trends and musthaves. But being aible to do this every day is just a blessing. Although this job really shouldn't be underestimated. We're working in the early morning to place everything on the right place, to make it look nice and to show all our costumers the new fashion items and image.

This job makes me happy every day, it's a part of my life and I wouldn't change for anything else. It's the job of my dreams and seeing all those happy costumers and merchandisers of my stores, makes the long days and hard work worth it.

In this post I show you the new Lookbook from the Women section at Zara. Minimalistic with poppin'
colors such as the blue and red tones. The bases are neutral colors, white and tones of grey.
Let the winter season start! I'm ready for all those cosy knits, coats and layering looks!

  2. Leuk dat je ook iets meer over je persoonlijk leven verteld. En echt knap dat je in zo'n korte tijd omhoog bent geklommen bij Zara en ook die kansen kreeg.
