Old but gold...
Near by where I live, even less than a kilometer, you can find the Maroon Brasserie in front of the central station of Mechelen. It's probably the restaurant where I've been the most since I discovered this place (about 3years ago) and I'm still going there every possible moment. It might be 'old' because I've known it for a while know, but it's defenitely gold when it comes to service and delicious food.

Last week I've been there again. Dad invited my mom and I for a nice dinner together. And there ain't no better place for a family dinner than Maroon. Even for a nice drink with friends or a lovely moment with your partner; they're the place to be! The minimalistic, yet cosy, design gives you an instant home feeling, you have enough privacy and they have the greatest mix between the French and Belgian kitchen.

My favorite? Their steak! Oh my God. For real: it's the only place where I eat steaks, just because they're so good. With a bit of bearnaise sauce and a fresh salad: I'm sold. And not even their main dishes are delicious, the ice cream with fresh seasonal fruits or the tiramisu is to die for. Maybe I should go for my daily dose of sugar...

I wanted to share this restaurant with you as it's really cosy with delicious food and a perfect place to discover when you're in Mechelen. #citytripidea
