172. HOTSPOT: IL CAPRIANI LAKESIDE

Delicous food and a lovely location...
That sounds like a double match! Last thursday I was invited with my best friend to 'Il Capriani Lakeside', a new brasserie that opened his doors near by where I live in Mechelen, Antwerp. Fresh Italian dishes are served while enjoying the beautiful location which is at the lake. During the evening you can enjoy the sunset, just like we did and when there's sunshine and lovely temperaturs it feels like you're in Italy itself. It's such a nice place to relax and to spend your evening with friends and delicious food.

When I went to their brasserie in Turnhout a couple of weeks ago, I tried the Lasagna (I love Lasagna!) and now it was time to try something completely different. We started the evening with their 'Antipasti Capriani'; a mix of Italian charcuterie. And for the main dishes we both went for Fish. My best friend got a Ravioli with scampi's and crab, and I went for the fish stew served with potatoes. Damn that was good! And a huge dish, haha. From mussels to tuna, sea bass, gamba's and cod. It was all there. But we both finished it with a small 'foodgasm' and ended our evening with a good dessert. 'Cause you can't miss that sweet touch, isn't it?

For me a Tiramisu please! I don't know why, but I'm addicted to Tiramisu. Each time I see it on the menu I will take it, sorry not sorry. The bestie went for a piece of chocolate cake. It looked very delicious! Don't you think?

The invitation was also the perfect moment to test my Olympus Pen camera that I got this month. I'm already addicted to this little cutie. It's so easy to take it with you, it doesn't weight a lot and you shoot amazing pictures with it! All the pictures from this post are made with it. What do you think of the results?
