420. FESTIVAL GUIDE BELGIUM: THIS WAS AFRO LATINO

11:55:00 AM

It feels like it's autumn in Belgium. The rain doesn't stop, there's a lot of wind and we're walking around in boots and coats again. I really can't live in this kind of country any longer as it's making me depressed and if I could I would move to Spain right now. Luckily we have some festivals that are bringing the Caribbean vibes to Belgium. The first one? Afro Latino which took place at the beginning of July.

This time it wasn't my first visit to the festival. I've been there before and already saw Sean Paul last year. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to come back this year. With a great mix of artists on the line up we were sure to have a great night. Cause be honest: Boef, Alvaro Soler and Daddy Yankee are definitely names to see! Daddy Yankee was the best performance I've ever seen at a festival. Even though it was quite crowded and every one wanted to see him, it was a party to never forget! Des-pa-citooooo.

Afro Latino itself is located at Bree, Limburg and also has a bachata and dancehall tent to dance at next to the main stage (you can feel the exotic and tropical breeze now isn't it?). A kids playground is open during the weekend too and you can enjoy the world market with garments and accessories. Are you hungry? Than go for one of the Caribbean food stands. Fresh food and amazing colorful dishes! You feel like being at a beach party somewhere warm and we were lucky that weekend to have sun and high temperatures to make that atmosphere complete.

The outfit I was wearing was a typical festival look. I prefer a comfortable pair of shorts instead of long trousers or a dress. And I chose a pair of glitter sneakers from Minelli to complete the outfit. Aren't they amazing? You can shop similar pairs here if you would like to have some festival proof shoes as well.

This weekend we have REGGAE GEEL on the planning. Another festival that I can't miss each summer and rain or not: I will be there for sure! Did you know that Reggae Geel is an official Fair-trade festival and that they help social projects each year again? An extra reason to get your tickets before it's too late! Let's party all together this weekend. #reggaelover
