Fifty percent of the Belgian people, or even seventy, are currently enjoying Tomorrowland right now. Others are impatiently waiting for tomorrow, Sunday or the next weekend to go, just as I am. And as every weekend is full of festivals since the beginning of July, it's the perfect moment to share some make up inspiration with you. 'Cause wearing a nice make up look during the festivals can make the experience completely different!
Attention MAC Cosmetics lovers! There's a new place in Antwerp where you can shop your favorite lipsticks, foundations and pretty eye shadows. Since Friday the 26th of May, MAC opened their corner at the INNO GALERIA. Yes, in the middle of the big shopping street 'MEIR', which I'm sure you all know well.
When you enter the Gallery through the main entrance, just in front of the Zara Home store, you'll immediately notice the corner at your right. The black furniture is popping out from the other stands, the clean lipstick and foundation presentations are immediately attracting you and for me the big smile on the Make up artists faces were the best. You see that they're happy with the store themselves and they help you with pleasure. I immediately had a warm welcome and couldn't wait for my one hour make up session.
As you all know I'm a MAC fan by heart and I could die for it, like seriously. It started about 3/4years ago with a simple lipstick and now in 2017 I'm having a whole stand filled with over 50lipsticks from MAC and the Retro Matte glosses are all in my possession as well. Addicted? Nah. Haha! Also my foundation and powders are from MAC and I can't go out of the house without having a matching lip color on.
For those who were following my stories on Instagram yesterday, you know which look we created. For those who didn't see it yet: I will post it on the blog later. It will be in the Festival theme for the 'Festival Guide Belgium' and I can't wait to show you the make up look.
So if you're in Antwerp shopping, make sure you pass by. For the PRO store you can still go to Schrijnwerkersstraat, but at the Gallery you can find all the other products as well.
Thank you MAC for having me!
Last week I've been invited to the MAC Technique class in Antwerp. Their lesson about "Sculpt & Shape" was my saving angel. 'Cause even though I've already tried different make up looks and products for a while, contouring has never been my best friend, until that evening.
With the new MAC Technique app you can learn step by step how to create the make up look you desire and you can practice your skills together with a MAC make up artist. There are 13lessons you can follow and each of them will let you discover new products, colors and tricks. So as said before, our lesson was about creating the right shape on your face. And each step I've learned that day has been saved up in the app as well, together with the used products so I can shop them later.
The most important trick I've learned during the class? Not every face has the same structure as we all know, so don't copy the girls on Youtube/Instagram with the same contouring lines without knowing your bone structure. When you put your finger on your cheeks, you will feel the cheek bone, underneath that you need to contour. So take your time to practice and avoid wrong make up lines.
At the end you can see the results and I've also learned how to create long lasting ombre lips.
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way - I can sing this song now every day since we really started to get into the holidays mood. Not only the interior stores, but also fashion and make up brands are showing their festive collections. And that's exactly why I went to Brussels last weekend. Together with MAC Cosmetics I could meet up with my followers and discover their "The Sweet Nutcracker" collection at the same time.
Welcome into the candy store! The gold-rose and purple packaging makes you want to have it all and gives you the feeling of being in a Christmas movie. It's difficult to resist and as a die-hard lipstick fan of MAC, I got myself the colors. In the make up look you can see the ombre-effect created with 3 of the Nutcracker shades. Also the blush and black eyeshadow came home with me.
During Christmas a lot of dreams come true and when it comes to make up collections, this was defenitely one! Thanks to MAC COSMETICS for having me and to my IG followers for passing by that day. It was lovely to meet you all! #macholidaybelgium
Me a MAC lover? Naaaaah. Ofcourse I am! I got a lipstick collection from here to I don't know where and also the lip liners and eye shadow collection is growing every month. But as I am not a make up artist, and I guess I will never be a top one, I still need to try some skills. Doing my lips is the best thing I can when it comes to make up, but lately doing my eyes is getting better and better.
The last collection I discovered is the Spellbinder eye shadow colors from MAC. These velvet looking and touching shadows are so easy to blend in and have ionized pigments that look amazing. The colors I used are "Aphrodisiatic" and "Higher power". Isn't this perfect for the holidays?
The MAC Cosmetics TROLLS collection is currently taking over the beauty world. And even though the colors of the lipsticks are quite bright, I love the blue and 'Pistache'-ish color a lot.
With both of them I created ombre lips. The blue shade has been combinated with the black eye shadow of the Trolls collection and the green is in combination with pink. In this way you make them more easy to wear and combinate with your clothes style through a normal day. But for a night out you can defenitely go for one of these bright colors without blending it.
What do you think? Are you a Trolls fan or not?
Hello August, Hello Summer and Hello Festivals!
I'm currently going from one festival to another and the last stop was WE CAN DANCE this weekend. It was actually the first time I went to the festival in Zeebrugge, at the seaside in Belgium and I must say that I really enjoyed being there. Not only the company was great (with blogger @thefittestyou) but also the WE CAN TASTE corner stoled my heart. As a huge sugar lover I tasted the best icecreams, ate some tasty nachos and fried shrimps. #hellochubbytummy
At the festival itself you had four stages with local and international line ups. And ofcourse amazing corners of MAC Cosmetics, Redken, Zalando, Aperol and so much more brands to discover. At MAC I got my make up done in the Space theme of the event (you could've seen previews earlier this week) and Redken took care of my hairstyle. They created the 'moon' on it and I just LOVE-ED it.
I'm pretty sure the social media canals were in overload of #wcd2016 tags and pictures this weekend, but in this post just a little recap of my day at the festival. If you want to see all the pictures you can check out my Instagram.
WE CAN DANCE, I hope to see you next year again!
Thanks to MAC Cosmetics and Redken Belgium for having me at the festival this year!
It's the first time I'm ordering something online from MAC Cosmetics. Usually I'm going to the Pro Store in Antwerp as they have the kindest and most amazing staff ever. They always give me all the necessary advice and take the time to serve every customer how it should be in each store. But this time I couldn't make it to any kind of MAC store, so I needed to order them.
What did I add to my collection? Two red lipsticks of the 'Charlotte Olympia' collection which has been inspired by pinups, silver screen sirens and the bygone era of Hollywood. One lipstick is more shiny, the other one is matte. I already took some pictures for a 'Selfies with MAC' post, so you will see the results soon.
The names: 'Starlett Scarlet' and 'Leading Lady Red'. #redlipsticks
In todays 'SELFIES WITH MAC' I'm showing you my new dark burgundy lipstick 'DARK SIDE'. With a red crayon underneath you create a more red-ish shade. And a woman can never have enough red lipsticks. If you use a plum colored crayon you will have the deep burgundy as the lipstick itself.
It's up to you to shade it up the way you like. Or maybe a nice ombre with nude? #allpossible
A girl can never have enough shoes, clothes, jewelry or make up. And I will never have enough different colors of lipsticks. Every two or three months I come home with new colors from MAC Cosmetics. Sometimes every month, depending on their new launches.
This time no special editions but colors from their 'normal' collection (although I placed an online order which will be revealed on the blog soon). I usually go for the MATTE lipsticks and made an exception this time by choosing more shiny shades. Especially the golden one is something quite different but I can't wait to try it out.
The colors? From left to right: SILLY - RUNWAY HIT - PARTY LINE - FRESH MOROCCAN - BRONZE SHIMMER.
